Meet The Founder
David D. Stanford, BA, MBA, US Army (Ret.), has found his niche after more than 30 years of distinguished military service in the United States Army as Drill Sergeant of the year, Top USAR Recruiter for the Baton Rouge Recruiting Command for four consecutive years and working as the Non-Commissioned Officer in charge of the Dallas Recruiting Command.
An entrepreneur at heart, David has owned and operated several businesses including a printing company, theatre, restaurant, and an industrial cleaning company. His competencies, experiences, and talents contribute to his ability to positively impact his organization and community. David's driving passion is to give back to young men and families through his leadership as President/Founder of HUGS-Humanity, Unity, Giving, Services, Inc.
His preparation as a Certified Ethics Trainer for the State of Louisiana, Ted-X-level speaking, and training in the areas of leadership, motivation, human resources, and team building ensures successful results as a role model and mentor to his staff, supporters, and target population.
Meet The Directors
Theudas Allen
Allen is an accomplished restaurateur with over 28 years of experience in food services. His highly valued leadership makes him effective in the areas of employee training, customer service, and technology.
He is the owner/operator of Allen's Consulting, LLC, who desires to engage with first-time and struggling business owners. His accomplishments and business work ethics are very instrumental for mentoring the youth in the community at HUGS, inc. as the Program Director.
Reginald D. Mims
Mims is the owner and operator of an architectural services firm specializing in commercial, industrial, and residential design development and planning, emphasizing land use and zoning.
His current task as the strategic partner is planning/zoning/program management for Louisiana Connect. His experience and expertise have proved invaluable to the HUGS, Inc. mentorship program as Secretary-Treasure.
